The regional consultation was held in person on 29 March 2022, at 9am-12pm, at PRI Conference Room. Three regional research teams from Sylhet, Dinajpur and Mymensingh attended the consultation. Dr. Narayan Das, Senior Research Fellow, BIGD, joined PRI team for the consultation as external evaluator.
In response to the RFP we shared with you previously, we received 15 proposals from different local NGOs, think-tanks and Universities. After careful evaluation of the proposals, we have selected three regional projects:
1. "A Study on Access to Digital Financial Services of the Plain Land Ethnic Community in Northern Bangladesh"
Team Lead: Asrafi Bintay Akram, MSS and BSS (Hons) in Sociology, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. Associate Professor, Department of Sociology, Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University, Dinajpur.
2. "Impact of Digital Financial Services on livelihood of Haor people in Bangladesh"
Team Lead: Dr Md Nazrul Islam, Professor, Department of Business Administration, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology
3. “Adoption and Potency of Digital Financial Services among Farmers in Bangladesh”
By Department of Agricultural Finance and Banking, Bangladesh Agricultural University
The proposals were presented in the consultation and received comments from Dr. Narayan Das, and PRI team.
