The Policy Research Institute of Bangladesh (PRI) organized the first Enablers Network Discussion on Bangladesh Digital Financial Services (DFS) on December 20, 2021. The enablers network was established as an outcome of the “Policy Initiative for DFS in Bangladesh” project, under a partnership with Bill and Melinda Foundation. The network was established to bring together some of the highly distinguished researchers, private sector business leaders, representatives, and policymakers of the country who have been directly and indirectly involved in digital financial services and provide an informal platform for discussion on DFS policies and challenges in Bangladesh. The first meeting session was moderated by Dr. Zaidi Sattar, Chairman, Policy Research Institute of Bangladesh, followed by presentations by Dr. Bazlul Haque Khondker, Director, PRI and Dr. M.A. Razzaque, Research Director, PRI. Dr. Ahsan H. Mansur, Executive Director of PRI, provided welcome remarks at the event. The event was organized as a closed-door deliberation and by invitation only. It was held on the online platform Zoom to minimize social contact during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
